I’ve found that quite often my .NET students have never used or didn’t realize what they could use the Server Explorer tool in Visual Studio. Server Explorer is a powerful tool that can let you create and manage your databases remotely from within Visual Studio. It’s an alternative to using a full blown management tool like SQL Server Management Studio. It even has some visual editing capabilities for those who may be SQL syntax challenged or who just prefer a visual editor. This video demonstration shows how to use it for creating and editing SQL stored procedures.
